Biography

Ashleigh Rainer was born in Paddington, New South Wales, Australia. She was a natural performer as a child and excelled in music (singing), dancing and drama studies during her high-school years that followed. After graduating, she studied psychology and drama at the University of the Sunshine Coast for a time, before moving to Brisbane to focus on acting. She has since studied with NIDA, Tom McSweeney, Creating Artists and Howard Fine, to name a few.
In 2014 she landed her first professional theatre role playing the character of 'Clara Salope,' a lead role in the David Williamson smash-hit comedy play, "Managing Carmen" which featured in the Noosa Long Weekend Arts Festival that year. Film roles include Abby in the recent Beernuts Production 'Mr. Eligible', Lisa/Sarah (twins) in feature film 'DUO' (Haul Media) and Sophie in the comedy skit 'Couples Therapy' (Beernuts Productions). Ashleigh has also appeared in 'Elvis' (Warner Bros), 'Young Rock' (NBC), 'Darby and Joan' (Cordell Jigsaw Productions) and 'Harrow' (Hoodlum Entertainment).
Ashleigh is also a talented singer and dancer, performing with her band 'The Molly Frockers', and recently wrote and performed (vocals/melody) in the newly released album 'The Sea. My Nemesis. Myself.'
